That spirit is reflected throughout The Lanes, where the streets are named in honor of the legendary TSU Tigerbelles, a pioneering group of Black women athletes who earned 40 Olympic medals between 1956 and 1984 while breaking racial and gender barriers and redefining what was possible in American sport.
